  • How long is the program?

    This is a 12-month full-time position.

  • Will I be getting paid?

    There is a $32,500 stipend for your yearlong participation plus fringe benefits.

  • How do I apply and what are requirements?

    1. You must be a post baccalaureate.

    2. You can apply if you graduate in 2024.

    3. Once approved through NSF we will notify you of your acceptance and help you with the specific university application to get help with insurance and into the program.

  • When do I get paired with my mentor?

    Once your NSF application is complete, we will have you interview with our PI’s and one of your top choice mentors. You will know who your mentor is before you arrive!

  • What should be my goal?

    It all begins with knowing which topic you want to help research. We have 3 main themes.

    1. Water use and quality

    2. Enivronmental contamination

    3. Biological correlates of Disease

    After, the goal is to build a relationship with your mentor and gain industry experience that will carry you through your career.

  • Who can I contact?

    You can contact our main PI and any Co-PI as well as our program coordinator. We will do our best to answer any question you have regarding the program and after.

  • the program starts on August 1st and ends on July 31st.

  • You do not need to have research experience to apply for this program. We will help you gain research experience.

  • You should be a U.S citizen, U.S nationals or permanent resident.

    You should be applying within 4 years of graduation (extensions allowed for family, medical or military leave).

    Have an undergraduate degree related to the topics of our program and plan to continue in S.T.E.M.

  • Receive a mentorship experience that is personalized to you from one of our research professors and the program coordinator.

    Gain research experience by working on a hands on intensive research project.

    Attend workshops to better prepare you for graduate school or a S.T.E.M career.

    Being part of a cohort of 9 other students that will help you through the program and into your career.
