We are excited to hear from you! We are now accepting applications for our Year 2 cohort (2025-6). To start the application process, you will need to submit an application via the National Science Foundation’s ETAP (Education & Training Application Portal). General information:
Applications will be reviewed starting March 15. You will be contacted by program personnel once your material has been reviewed.
Positions begin August 1 and last for one year.
Awardees are provided an annual stipend of $32,500 plus benefits (determined by the parent institution) and $10,000 in direct research support.
Be ready to provide:
A short personal statement describing your educational and career goals.
Your current resume or CV.
Transcripts from your undergraduate institution(s). Unofficial transcripts are okay!

Be ready to tell us:
Your top three choices for research mentor or, if you don’t know, your theme of choice. Note that this is a 3 year program, and not all mentors are available every year.
